History
The Twinsburg Chamber of
Commerce is one of the
older organizations in our community. It was incorporated in 1921
with 12 members, and it set forth to establish a business climate
with emphasis on ethics. Honesty and integrity were the watchwords.
Members joined the Chamber
of Commerce:
because they realized, in
unity there is
strength.
because it was a medium
for serving the
community as a whole.
because they believed in
the future and the
progress of their city.
because the only
qualification for membership
was good citizenship.
because they wanted to
work with their fellow
citizens for the common interest of all.
because it was a
clearinghouse for business
information, business service and community effort.
because membership paid a
high rate of
interest in service, personal contact, community betterment and
civic pride.
Much has changed in the
years since the Chamber
was formed, universally and here in Twinsburg, but these precepts are
still valid today. Experience and the records of the past have
conclusively demonstrated its usefulness and justified existence in
this community and most other communities in every part of the
country.
